Growing With Our Grief Workshop

This Growing With Our Grief Workshop led by Amy Pickett-Williams, LCSW, founder of the LIGHT Movement, is a FREE comprehensive three-hour training designed to empower social work, psychology and other mental health students and providers, educators, chaplains, and global healthcare workers with transformative somatic tools and knowledge on grief. Particiapants will explore polyvagal theory and the window of tolerance through engaging lectures that illuminate how these frameworks regulate the nervous system amid grief and trauma.

The training incorporates practical, chair-based experiential exercises such as vagus nerve stimulation, bilateral movement, and practices involving contraction and expansion, as well as therapeutic art to support holistic mind-body integration. By blending the science of grief with meaningful, hands-on techniques, this workshop offers a pathway for fostering personal growth, embodiment, and deeper meaning-making throughout the grief process.
