LIGHT Movement Volunteer Training
MON FEB 1, 2027, 6 - 8 PM MST (MON FEB 1, 2027, 6 - 8 PM MST)

Join us to learn about the neuroscience of grief, practical somatic tools for healing, and the many ways you can support your community through LIGHT Movement.

This free training explores how grief impacts the brain, body, and nervous system, while introducing accessible practices that can help foster regulation, resilience, connection, and meaning-making. You'll gain a deeper understanding of how grief is experienced not only emotionally, but also physically through the nervous system.

We'll also share the many opportunities available to get involved with LIGHT Movement. Whether you have a few hours a month or are looking for a more active role, there are a variety of ways to contribute your skills and passions.

LIGHT volunteers can participate in one or more of our four circles:

• Programming – Support grief classes, workshops, retreats, yoga offerings, postvention initiatives, and community events.

• Operations – Help with volunteer coordination, administration, systems, scheduling, and organizational infrastructure.

• Development & Grants – Assist with fundraising, grant research and writing, sponsorships, donor engagement, and sustainability efforts.

• Outreach & Marketing – Support community partnerships, social media, communications, resource fairs, public awareness campaigns, and outreach efforts.

There is no expectation or commitment to volunteer by attending this training. This is simply an opportunity to learn more about grief, nervous system regulation, and the work LIGHT Movement is doing to ensure that no one grieves alone.

Come explore, connect, and discover how your unique gifts might help bring love, education, and support to individuals and communities navigating grief and loss.
